It goes beyond that... Kintsugi aligns very closely with Wabi-Sabi, the esthetics of imperfection. Nature does not have perfectly spherical boulders or straight shorelines so why do we look at those as perfection? Additionally, Kintsugi frequently involves intentionally breaking stoneware so that it can be repaired, and in that way it's not unrelated to the smashing of guitars.

Hi Folks,
Just posted a pic of the body blank before it went to CNC in July. Found out Friday that a lot of this delay was caused because of the body blank drying and acclumating to 9% moisture or lower at Doug's shop.
The Epoxy will be used to fill those slight gaps in between the panels.  Those gaps were not intentional. The Copper Micah powder will accent the bright colors of all those colors that are the 54 species of hardwood incorporated into the build.
    Thanks, Jeff.

Very first panel in the clamps April, 2019.
It takes time to make each and every panel , then trimming and tweaking them to fit on the base lumber to create the body blank.

Been three weeks.  Did you get any pics?

Haven't talk to him lately,  been really busy at work. Really curious to see the Copper Micah Powder results.
Jeff. Hoping for pics soon.

Here is the latest. We had to switch colors of the micha powder.  The Copper Micha Powder would have looked like pond water color on my guitar!!! Yuck!!
