I'm pretty sure 16" is the last fret, and at the bridge it's flatter. Someone did a calculation a while back and I believe they found that it's around 18" radius at the bridge.Greetings,
I saw a thread related to compound radius necks that had me wondering.....
Say for W's 10-16" compound radius.....
As I understand it, the nut has a 10" radius. For the 16" component, is it 16" at the bridge or a specific position on the neck?

Good question lol. I would assume 22nd as that's the "standard" number of frets, but I'm not sureIs the last fret defined as the 21st fret, 22nd fret or 24th fret?
The radius measurements apply to the fretboard itself: 10" at fret 1, 16" at fret 22. Radius at the saddles ends up being about 18.5".
The Van Dyke Harms folks made my bridge have an 18" radius for the Warmoth 10-16. Works great. Too bad Hagwood doesn't have one...........The radius measurements apply to the fretboard itself: 10" at fret 1, 16" at fret 22. Radius at the saddles ends up being about 18.5".
Old Spud prefers a straight 9.5 or 12.
Straight 12" FTW.
