Thanks! I was noodling around on it last night, and I still like it. Didn't come out nearly as white as I intended, though. Even the picture looks whiter than the real thing. The clear coats took the edge off it.

If the clear coats took the edge off the white, they must have added something to it as well. Anyway, it looks quite good.

Actually, I'm not as upset as it may sound. Clear nitro isn't really clear, but you generally don't notice it against a color. A white base will show it up as very slightly yellow. So, it does give it a bit of character as opposed to a sterile bleached white. In less flattering light it's more obvious than in harsh sunlight...

I thought the lighting made it look a little dark... :icon_biggrin:

I like subtle changes due to lighting. My Tele is maroon with a slight pearl overcoat that only shows in certain lighting. Sounds like it is similar in character.

Hehe! Yeah, I was just sneaking in a shot of the black one as it's a recent build that I don't think I've shown before.

Pearlized maroon sounds lovely, and I can believe it reacted to different light in flattering ways. I had a Warmoth candy tangerine Strat that was that way. I ended up having to sell it because everybody who saw it wanted it. Started an informal bidding war when it wasn't even for sale until I couldn't say no. Gonna have to build another one of those.

That candy tangerine is a spectacular color. I can imagine a bidding war over one in that color.
