Black Korina, Alpine White, Natural Binding

Got her together yesterday. I still need to put on the string retainer and my signature piece of black tape over the volume pot hole. But here she is with her friends. I really want to get all of my guitars outside into natural light and get a group shot. For now though..........

Sorry for the suck pictures.

I'm a guitarist, dammit!! Not a photographer  :hello2:

And before I get any freakout replies that I went with white accessories over cream, let me explain. I thought the scratch plate played well with the figuring in the neck and the binding. So, instead of camouflaging the pups and knobs I decided to play them off of the body color. Personally, I think it looks killer.

think I still would prefer the tortoise shell scratch plate though....oh well, next build I guess :headbang1:

I've decided to name this one "Tomoko" which is my wife's first name.

At least it was the guitar Tomoko with the crack problem, amirite?  :laughing7:

What's the deal with the Warmoth decals being upside down?

It actually started out as a joke on my first build. When I went to put the sticker on the head I had it upside down and caught myself before I put it on. My friend was here and we were laughing about getting everything done so perfectly and then fkking it all up by putting the decal on upside down. I figured, what the hell, go ahead and do it, so I did. Turns out I like it like that and since no one else does it, it's mine. Now if you see any others you can just say "Yeah, he copied that off of MULLY". hehehehe!!!

Of course if it was an unbalanced logo like the "Fender" one then I wouldn't do that. But it's basically the same size on each end so it doesn't really look too weird

Looks incredibly cool! One of the best of the year!

Since I couldn't get it in on time for December I want to put it in for January when the "Build of the Month" comes up.

with better photos of course :icon_thumright:

I see you don't like the typical volume knob location on strats, me niether,  You know you can orderyour pickguards with the pot holes eliminated, or with only 1 or 2 holes

Yeah I can't stand it. It always fouls my hand, I have to move them or just omit the 1st knob.

Yeah, I know you can do that. Every Strat I've ever owned has had the volume pot moved down one space and a piece of electrical tape covering the open hole. I guess it's another of my eccentricities like the upside down sticker.

Ebony it is, my friend, ebony it is. And a really nice looking piece of ebony too. I really wish you guys could see it up close. Pics don't do it justice.
