Opinions Needed - White Nitro or keep Natural?

Well I think both would look good. I tend away from brown guitars (I am in the minority) so I would vote for the Mary Kay thing.
I'm the same way. I understand and appreciate why people like them, but whenever I see a bold grained wood in a natural or brownish finish, it reminds me of the furniture in cheap hotel rooms.

I'm not trying to tell anyone how to build their guitar (unless they're asking for opinions), but making a new guitar look old is just plain FAKE, and I hate fakeness. I also don't like things that are damaged (which includes finishes on guitars). Do you beat the hell out of your automobiles too? It's definitely a ridiculous fad.

I am totally with you as far as "relic" look. It's just way fake and culturally laughable as you can't buy time. Plus having something getting "old" WITH you has a tremendous added personal value But nitro finishing is not bad or damaged looking at all. It's actually cool. My 1984 natural ES335 DOT is in its nitro full glory and 40 yrs time has gifted it with an amazing yellow veil. Certainly not damaged at all.
"Old" technology isn't necessarily bad because it's old. That's a dangerous way of thinking in many aspects. See... I live not far from Cremona, Italy, where the real thing has been made for centuries, violin, viola, cello, contrabass... and every brand new instrument made there is still painted with 500 years old "technology"... and hey... those things look gorgeous. Imagine a violin tinted in urethane color coat! Sure...it would look IN "new" technology but would be the saddest thing you could possibly have in your hands. There's a LOT of old tech that is about beauty and more natural value to the things. Never underestimate that.
