Best vintage pickup (lollar, SD, fralin)

So, for my first electric/custom/decent guitar, I had chosen a SD 59 humbucker bridge (for the neck) and a 54 telecaster bridge (for the bridge).

But I've recently decided to open up some other options.

I'm considering Fralins, Lollars, SDs, Fenders, and Gibsons now.

Any opinions on the best sounding humbuckers and tele bridge pickups?

'Best' is highly subjective and very difficult to prove.

If I were building a vintage-ish tele, Fralin would be very high on my list of pickups.

I know it's subjective. I just want to know what appeals to the people here the most.

So..

Fender NoCaster pickups
Rio Grande (not sure which pickup)
Fralins

~Thanks!

I'm very partial to the Fralin's... They're in my 73 LP and I LOVE them... Lindy's great to work with. I decided to do the Jimmy Page wiring after I ordered the pickups and I asked him what he thought and he had me send them back so he could wind a set that would work better.

I'm sure they're not the only great pickups out there, but Lindy is great to work with and they're defiantly worth the money.

aren't you the low budget guy?
Get some GFS or Tonerider pickups and if you don't like them, replace them when you have more cash.
they both sound really great for the money though!

Yes, you just wrote somewhere you wanted to change woods to save money :) so I assumed you were on a budget ;)

ah see! go for basswood and tonerider pickups then! :)

I wish my grandparents and parents would give me guitar money :(

Ha. Na i'll keep waiting unltil christmas then till probably have my neck then i can ask for more money or my pickups.
Dimarzio d activator neck, dimarzio d activator x bridge.

I'm 13, so there will be plenty more parents and grandparents birthday money where that came from.
