Attn Modeler Fans: Power Engine vs Powered Wedge

I use a Blonde pedal for my preamp, power amp, and speaker sounds when recording. I'd like to use it live. What would be the difference between using, say, a 12" powered wedge and a Tech 21 Power Engine? It seems that aside from the crossover, they'd be pretty similar, while the wedge would have more volume on board, if necessary. Also, a Mackie Thump seems to go for about half of what the Power Engine does.
