Sharpening blades on jointer = good.
Setting up blades for the first time = satisfying.
Wood Pr0n = always appropriate.
Using your tablesaw to resaw 4/4 into 7/4 and showing your skid marks for the world to see = shameful for anyone but me. I have no pride. :icon_biggrin:
So I made my router sled out of plexi - BEST IDEA EVER. Makes work so much easier when you can see what you're doing. I messed on my measurements when I ordered, and I ended up having to put the router on the opposite side I was hoping (opposite the aluminum rails).
Worst idea ever: aluminum sliding on aluminum.
Also bad idea: using a 5/8" bit instead of a 1" or something - I may just order a dish making bit...
The blank is 1 5/8" - just where I wanted it. Satisfied with the grain matching as well. Nice thin glue lines :hello2:
Front
Back (not as nice, hence the back).
I know - not great progress, but when progress is this slow, every little bit counts.
