sounds sweet. i was totally into the reverse warhead, but the reverse explorer does the trick too. I really do love ibanez's iceman headstock. (not reading this whole thread) Did you consider getting a blank and cutting it yourself or having someone do it?

headstock to headstock. I like the warhead better. but on the guitar, the explorer just looks like it came that way factory. I did consider the blank, but there is a lot of specific stuff I want ON this guitar, plus I hope to give it a wild paintjob.

plus I'm going to be out a bit of money for the other mods.

right now, I've just come to the point that if I buy on off the rack headstock shape... it will save me a lot of time and a couple hundred bucks! if not more

I had a Jackson style neck on my Iceman and I thought it looked perfect. I liked it better than the original neck headstock.

totally. i've loved that shape ever since i saw the Daron Malakian custom sigs with the crazy paintings way back when.

My list of Hurdles right now include...
1. Warmoth doesn't seem to offer Solid Purple in color choices.
2.I dont think Warmoth will do a Tele style Top route on an iceman.
3.Do I go with a hipshot bridge/humbucker ring and try to make it look like a tele bridge? or do I just suck it up and buy the Black Humbucker tele bridge from Warmoth (Gotoh?)
4. getting a pickguard like that without calling Hembry and telling him I'm ripping off his guitar.

Actually. I want to move the switch plate lower, and flip it. and I think that the pickguard could have a little better shaping...

I like purple guitars, but not reverse tele on iceman with almost-pink purple

AGWAN, you can change a little the pickguard and them it's your design... specially the rouded-tele part of it...

Well to be fair, Hembry ripped of Fender and Ibanez... So I feel a minimum of guilt ripping him off...

Finding just the right shade of purple... thats going to be the trick... I'm still debating on the transparent purple...

Id go for the purple or the silver..
The others are just a bit too bright to me
But you put the black cherry sparkle i think it was on your longer shortlist, i think that should replace the Yellow maybe, its a dark colour, but it does look flashy.

dont you need to change the neck pocket on the body to the tele square heel?

EDIT: realized that the neck's got 24 frets not 21 so the gap is covered  :doh:

In deed he'll need, the reverse is OK but will have a gap only visible on 21 frets neck, but a tele neck needs a tele neck pocket
