+$45

The neck pocket is +$15

IIRC both are no retornable (unless in case of defect), better ask to W's guys

I'll make sure to. especially since I will have to buy the neck and body at separate times... to deal with the cost.

Neck comes first. of course. I mean. if you're going to put one Warmoth thing on any guitar... its going to be the neck.

seems to be the most important part of any guitar (Or so I've gathered reading here!)

See... THAT melts my retinas.

Also.. I'm still kinda feeling that Mint color... Seafoam green?

I played in a band of a friend of mines for a bit, and his lead guitarist had a Zombie Iceman, cool guitar for sure... :icon_thumright:

I finally found a place that sells the Authentic Ibanez Iceman bridge.

http://www.drumsetc.com/Details.asp?Product=11824&List=275&Manu=34&PL=&PH=

I threw up a bit.

I wonder why they're so expensive? That's nuts.

I know, its not even that nice of a bridge, it must be made of neodymium under that paint.

I'm still thinking that when build time comes around... I might buy it...

its AUTHENTIC!

maybe the price is that high to deter people from trying to order it...

It's working for me <grin>

There's a school of thought at some companies that "renewal parts" are guaranteed sells at any price, so they set the number high. I used to work for a company that did that. A Standard DPDT Potter-Brumfield ice cube relay you could buy anywhere for $8 or so would cost $120 if you bought it from us. Apple does it with memory. When you can buy 1GB sticks of DDR2 anywhere for $22, they'll be charging $150. Military suppliers have been doing it since forever.

Yeah, We get that in the car industry. One BMW lug bolt is around 40 bucks if you buy it from BMW.

Go down to the local Fastener warehouse. pick out a bolt of Equal grade and identical shape.

All of the sudden that 40 dollar bolt costs 2.20.

MAGIC.

I'm no Harvard MBA, but I'm guessing it has a lot to do with tying up capital. Manufacturers hate to carry inventory. It's money they can't use for other things unless they borrow against it, which makes it cost even more and isn't even always possible because they want to depreciate it. Plus, it uses up expensive floor/shelf space that isn't doing anything productive while you light, heat, keep dry, secure and pay taxes on it, not to mention the labor costs of keeping track of it and moving it as needed.

The only way to make money on inventory is to spin it, so if you're required to keep things that move slowly so they cost you in lost opportunity, you gotta make it worthwhile.

Makes sense. I mean, Other than being a MASSIVE T.O.M. bridge, that Gibralter really is only desireable to Iceman Nuts And someone restoring a very specific and personal ibanez.

like I said, when the time comes I may order it. simply because it matches.

even though I'm sure there is no real tonal/setup difference between it and a 70 dollar Tonepro's

I was under the impression the Gotoh 510 could not be had in black, or left handed. now that I see a black, unslotted 510 on Warmoths site... I know whats going on my iceman.
