Exhortations from Beano notwithstanding, nothing cures gas. However, giving in to it will provide temporary relief. Just blame it on the dog <grin>

Oh, and while you're ruining the dog's reputation, have fun with your new guitar <grin>

very nice! as much as i love my warmoths (and i certainly do) i think i'd keep my acoustic if i had a fire and could only carry one guitar. a great acoustic is just so personal. can't wait to see it when it gets there...

I agree, although I'd work really hard at saving my Warmoths as well. But, the nice thing about acoustics is they work no matter what, and they are what they are. So, if it's a good one, you hold it close. Global warming, Peak Oil, Nuclear holocaust, Stupid presidents, terrorism... nothing can get in the way of an acoustic. Ever watch "The Stand"? It's a post-apocalyptic world, but Larry Underwood still has his acoustic. M-O-O-N, that spells "Jam!"

In my experience it's always best to mic an acoustic, but I am quite friendly towards a/e models as well.

Good to see you found something that fits! I'd like a Cobalt, myself.

African Barking Spiders were what ran rampant in my dad's house. never saw them, but i heard them all the time when he was around.

I don't have a dog, but I do have a 1 year old daughter, and she can most certainly be blamed for a large proportion of the GAS in this house.  :laughing11:

Worse comes to worst, there's always the trash (especially if you've recently had chicken). Holler at the kid(s) to get it taken out.

Well it's arrived and omg !. It kicks the sweet pants of any Takamine in the same price range (and the neck is nice and full so it suits me perfectly). This is like a 1000x improvement on my old lump of wood.
What's extra nice is I think the supplier got it wrong, they only charged £350 with delivery for it (The FGX730SCA), considering everywhere else it's about £420, and they were charging £360 for the 720, I think i've got a right bargain.
Thanks to everyone who made suggestions and helped, it's cured the GAS.... for now.  :toothy10:
