I would likely complete the build without the upper piece and play it for a while. Just having some time to see and handle it with it set up that way may make the decision clearer. The candy blue looks great, by the way!

The more close-up photos I see of satin finish bodies the more I like them. Somehow they just look like they’d feel really nice to touch. Also, that orange looks like a million bucks against those shiny chrome parts!

I had a friend who woudn't even trim the strings so the end of his guitar would be a big flopping mass of wires that you needed safety glasses just to approach! He could outplay me with one hand tied behind his back so I couldn't really say much.

I would probably make it a bit fatter on the bottom and thinner on the top. Of course, if you take everyone's suggestions you'll probably end up with something that looks like every other guitar out there. I like how unique it is and I especially like the tailpiece - that really brings it...
I really like this guitar! Great color and hardware choices - the bit of green on the headstock is a great little touch also. Please post more pics when you get it finished.

This looks great, and much more colorful than I would have imagined. It's very enjoyable to watch the progress on something like this. I hope the winner will post detailed pics of the build as well!

There may be a little room to move if you loosen the screws and push the neck into alignment. If that gets you close it may be best to just slightly enlarge the holes going through the body to allow a bit more play. If you have to use dowels be very careful when you re-drill because the bit will...
I too share your concern about mole rats colonizing the moon. I thought I was the only one!
I can't say that I've ever pinpointed the cause of a noisy guitar to an internal ground loop - I tend to just gut them and rewire everything. However, I can see the possibility of those pot casings being...
