Hey I just finished wiring up my Warmoth, and electronically everything seems to be fine. Both pickups are working, and the tone and volume knob do what they're supposed to. However, when I am not touching any metal on the guitar, it buzzes noticeably. If I touch the bridge, knob, strings, etc...

Thanks for the info Cagey. Is the Warmoth installed nut a good starting point for a nut that doesn't require string trees, or do you have to file one from scratch for that to happen?

The pickup selector switch on my new rear-routed Strat body hits up against the edge of the switch route when at positions 1 and 3 (it's a three way switch). Is that normal? What do you guys do to protect the finish from cracking when the switch hits it?

Yeah I've noticed that winding the strings so they sit low on the post can really help, especially with unusually short posts like the Gotoh 510 Magnum Locking Tuners have. But for a novice like me, how would you cut the nut properly to ensure you don't need the trees?
