The Reluctant Builder Built a Novel

So, among all of you guitar enthusiasts there isn't one sci-fi fan? I'm incredulous that I could be the only one. Seriously, it's like Mikey and LIFE cereal: try it, you'll like it. And, even if you don't, at least have a look, please.

    Baritone Jaguar

I'm excited to see this one come together. You said two of the magic words: "Baritone" and "Jaguar."

The Reluctant Builder Built a Novel

Hey, everybody. It's been ages. I had to take a break, else I'd be drowning in left-handed Warmoth's and that just wouldn't be practical. :) I hope the old crowd is still around, and that you all may still have some memories of my lefty Jazzmaster build...

I absolutely love the CBS headstock. However, I am used to being a minority.

    Binding an L5S

Huh. It didn't occur to me the binding would be lacquered, too. Well, in that case ... beauty mark, indeed!

    Binding an L5S

Sweet Jesus, Cagey, that is a beautiful guitar. Amazing work. As for the binding, do you have any of the cream binding left over? Couldn't you pulverize some, put the dust in that divot and then apply some super glue, then file / shave it down? Maybe it's not quite the same thing, but it seems...

    Maple/Pau Ferro rev. headstock pr0n!

Wicked! I love the fretboard. Did you choose maple for the neck because you planned on painting it? I feel like I never see exotic fingerboards without exotic neck woods.
