I forgot to mention that I asked Warmoth about custom ordering a solid top and was told it was reserved for the showcase only. That was the summer of 2016 though... And here was that Padouk top. I should've grabbed it while I had the chance.

How about this fine example of Koa and Mahogany? If my memory serves me correctly, they had a solid Padouk top at one point too...

The closest ES guitar I can think of would be the Gibson CS 336 or 356.  Mahogany, Maple, and Rosewood goodness...  But I would imagine finding a YT video where someone routed out the neck pup would be a bit of a challenge. Now after reading this thread, I kinda wanna try one out in my Thinline.

I just recently acquired some new gear that has kinda put a halt to this build.  Any ways, its a Mahogany Strat body in Cherry Red nitro (finished by Tonar8353).  I only ever got around to installing the top jack (as pictured) and is included in the sale. Link to Showcase Link to Tonar's DIY...

Phew....  Saved by the Standard Thin profile.  But somebody will have an amazing neck.

A buddy of mine has one, and he likes it quite a bit.

Originally they was just going to polished aluminum, but DangerousR6 found a way to get the two chrome plated. 

A while back I had DangerousR6 make a couple of chromed plates for me, and I have an unused spare that I don't foresee myself using.  $30.

Wenge would work for this guitar quite well I think.  I definitely prefer something darker from a color perspective.  Which is quite fortunate, since I already have an African Ebony neck waiting...
