I was contemplating getting another 500 but I've had this Jazz for five years now and I've been wanting to drop it into something forever.  I guess I'll find out how much I like it soon!

This is looking like the possible pickup combination for my Christmas present, a BC Rich Mockingbird, that my family is getting for me.  How do you guys think these two will work together?  I was thinking of getting a JB for the neck but I'd like to hear some opinions.

The thing that really amazes me about his leads on that album is it seems the output is so high yet maintains clarity,  almost like he is using a ceramic magnet on a jazzbucker or something.  Really great sound.  I'm 30 now and I'm not really a tone chaser persay but that sound on that album has...

Anyone know what kind of pickups Woody had in his SGs when the Blind album came out?  That's pretty much my favorite guitar tone for metal ever and I need to know!  Any help would be appreciated!

Everyone who plays guitar needs to listen to the F__king Champs.

If it's not your main style I would go for the Bill Lawerence XL's,  you can get that tone from them and a pair of them costs about the same as one DiMarzio. 

I would do the Frankenstein pup in the bridge and a 59 in the neck,  you would get the tone you are after. 

Pretty Cool but I was hoping for a Grim Reaper cover. :headbang1:

If you want to go active consider the Duncan Blackout neck pickup,  it's like an 85 except it does so much more. 

I really don't get why people put Zakk up their with Dime.  He's not in Dime's league.

I work with a guy who will buy anything with Zakk's name on it,  I imagine next week he will tell me how much he loves this thing.

Nothing wrong with Maple and Mahogony.  I've heard some great sounds come out of that combo before.
