    Chambering a body?

Ah, thanks! That´s a good idea. I´ll probably do somthing similar. I´m not after the sound of a hollowbody, I just want the weight reduced, so I guess I´ll try to do the chambering like Warmoth does. I´ll post pictures when I´ve got the work under way.

    Chambering a body?

I´m planning my next build which will be a wenge/ebony Warmoth neck on a wenge body. The luthier that I´ll order the body wenge from can only get it in either 0,98" or 1,57" thickness. I want it to be closer to 1,96" so I figure I´ll order two planks of the 0,98" and make the body chambered...

    Working with wenge

Planning my next project and am pretty set on a wenge body this time. I got a great Warmoth Wenge/Ebony neck for my first build (a Gibson RD copy) Made the body from scratch out of mahogny and learned alot. Wasn´t entirely happy with the result so I´ll be using the same neck for this next...

    RD build is underway! DONE!

Cool, I´m looking forward to seeing this take shape.  :toothy10: I got my version done and have been using it for quite some time now. It plays good and sounds great, but cosmetically I failed horribly. Am planning a re-make since I already have all the parts and have learned some valuable...

    Knobs for Bourns

Can´t remember the specific modelname. I´ll have to check when I get home. Here´s a photo of them atleast.

    Unfinish neck

+3. Got a wenge/ebony myself. Couldn´t be happier and don´t think I´ll ever go back.

    Knobs for Bourns

Anybody seen Speedknobs that will fit Bourns-pots? I´ve just cracked my 4:th speedknob trying to file it up to make it fit properly.

    Multi-laminate explorer scratch build

    First build: RD, getting closer.

Left to do: pickguard and assembly. Here´s a photo after the first coats of dye. ...and here´s one after the first coat of tungoil. Will post more photos next week!

    Amp dilemma

Tried the Mesa Express range recently and that one is out. Great clean and semi-clean, but as soon as I started cranking the gain all I heard was mud. The Diezel Einstein 50 head definitely seems to be good. Anyone got it?

    First build: RD

Thanks guys, and yes, I did trim down the areas around the neckpocket yesterday. Looks better now. Spent around 6 hours sanding the bloody thing. Still not done, haha, but I knew it was coming. Will post more photos when I get closer to the end!

    First build: RD

Ok, some progress has been made. I´ve got today off from work and will try to route for the bridge-HB and sand the body ready for dye. I have made a ton of mistakes here and there along the way. Will have to look at this as a learning project, but it´s still coming along quite nicely and I´m...

    First build: RD

Seriously? I had no idea. ...and yes I´m sure W could make me a custom RD-body, but I like to learn so I figured it would be more fun to make it myself. ( =I´m cheap!)  :laughing7: BTW, I´m sure I´m not the only one alive dumb enough to love the RD-model, am I? If W started making RD bodies...

    First build: RD

The mahogany-blank is under all the other parts in the photo. Maybe not the prettiest piece of wood, but it´s Honduras and only cost me about $60. That´s an ok price around here anyway and I found it at a lumberyard just 15min away from home. Next time I´ll most likely get a routed blank from...
