I've got a pair of Phat Cats in my LPS. I absolutely love it in the bridge (bright and brash), but in the neck position it's a tad too dark for my tastes.

My old Telestar does the same thing. Every thing you touch (switches, knobs, pickguard) comes through the amp. Annoying, yet somehow kinda fun sometimes (especially if you add echo, reverb and an octave pedal).

My dad did that in his old Blazer. Replaced the stock knob with a piston from a four-stroke engine.  :headbang:

I would love (love) to have a kit at home. I took some lessons a few years ago (and was getting pretty decent, if I do say so myself), but sadly, that's not really an option, at least not at the moment.
