Is your neck finished?

The thickness on my finished LPS Flattop was about 3/16". That was fine for the pots but required back boring to make the toggle switch fit. There is a very short threaded collar on the switch.

How could a manufacturer dress frets not knowing the string guage and setup preferences of the user? Moreover, each piece of wood bends differently. Uncovered. Under high-gain situations the springs can sometimes ring and sound like rattly reverb if left undampend. I have this problem less when they are left uncovered and I can press them against my shirt.

And why did the neck crack there in the first place, excessive use of the truss rod? You may have a horribly warped neck there even after you get it glued up. Good luck.

Sounds like you need to open the holes - either with a drill bit between your fingers, or sandpaper around a pencil. :icon_smile:
