Yellow/Red/Black burst on Mahogany for ThePhilosopher

Yes, I agree, the yellow looks great as it is.

It reminds me of a Johan Gustavsson guitar I tried:

That's an outstanding blond finish. The whole guitar is tastefully carried out.

It is and I can testify to that it feels that way too. Of course, at the price, it should ...

That guitar looks more like the finish I did on Max's Tele in 2011 except I used natural paste filler and he used mahogany. See Max's guitar here, its a cool look. http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=18427.msg272037#msg272037 By the way I appreciate the nice words from all of you, it does an old mans heart good.  :icon_thumright:

That Tele looks awesome. But we have come to expect nothing less from you Tonar  :icon_thumright:

Another gorgeous burst  :headbang1:
That girl has a few too many strings for me to handle, but regardless a real beauty!
:kewlpics: :rock-on:

Wow, that is one spiffy look'n burst. I'm partial to a B/R/Y burst with a nicely defined red area. Too many have the red almost covered by the black these days. My compliments!  :icon_thumright:

+1 to what BigSteve said - BRY has status as the finish of what my primordial concept of a guitar should look like...with perhaps the addition of a "Dukes of Hazard" decal on it...esp, as BigSteve said - with the pronounced red zone - yowzas!

Here is a better picture of the black to red to yellow on the burst and how they blend nicely. I like it!

I do, too. Usually not my choice of finish scheme, but that looks fantastic.

Yes I use to not be a huge fan of bursts then I started painting them and fell in love with them. They are like snow flakes, no two are alike and when the colors all melt together it's like magic. When I first visited the Experience Museum in Seattle I spent the majority of my time staring at vintage sunburst guitars, colors, width of color bands, over spray splatter, etc.  I'm sure I looked weird with my nose smashed against glass starring closely at guitars but wow what a great place!
