I don't remember if I posted about the body that I started almost a year and a half ago, but the baritone neck that I know I posted about recently is going on it. I started on it last March and as of December of '24, this is what it looks like:

Mahogany body, quilt maple veneer, white pearloid binding. The center line is a veneer strip that I put in place to hide a mishap with the quilt maple veneer halves. Green dye with black burst.
So this week I started on the neck. From a cut-off of the quilt maple veneer sheets, I applied a smaller piece onto the headstock and traced the template of the custom headstock shape I'd been working on that'll be a 2x4 config of tuners.


I used my handheld power jigsaw for the rough cut.

(those spots are old red dye, not blood)
And now the moment of no return. Do I make this a $400 mistake? Template is attached to the front face.
