Will a Gibson® Scale (24-3/4") neck fit a 7/8 body ?

Hey,

I am Not too happy with the headstock shape of those 7/8 Warhead necks.

Therefore I am wondering ....

Will a Gibson® Scale (24-3/4") neck fit a 7/8 body ?

It won't intonate so no a Gibson scale conversion should not be fitted to a 7/8 body.

Well a Gibson conversion neck has 22 frets and will fit on a Strat body or Tele depending on what type of conversion it is for.

So you could use one of those and if you want a smaller body reshape an existing one or buy a body blank and cut it to shape. But I am not sure what problem you are trying to solve.

Well, the problem is that I have a Warmoth 7/8 guitar body equipped with a 7/8 Warmoth Warhead neck but I start to really dislike the headstock shape

You could use a Mustang neck and end up with a 24" scale like forum member Logrinn uses https://www.warmoth.com/Pages/ClassicShowcase.aspx?Body=1&Shape=33&Type=10

Or you would have to go 22 fret conversion neck and get a new body and sell the 7/8 parts you have.

I recently asked Warmoth if they could make a 7/8 neck with a paddle headstock. They (the always helpful Spike) said no, but then this:

'for a $75 shop fee, we can make nearly any of our 25-1/2” scale, Modern Series neck styles as 7/8…'

So give them a call or email to check that 'nearly any' includes the headstock you're after, but it can be done - at a price.

I've recently called on this as well.  Was told they could do any headstock shape that is not Fender based, and no Tiltback headstocks.  Also, if you're not a fan of the side adjust truss rod, they can do the heel access truss rod only for $45.
