I know snakewood is supposed to be unstable (aren't we all) but golly:

I would sure as hell dig a snakewood fingerboard, but is almost 10 times more expensive than ebony.... so, thats makes me say, no thank you. I'll stick with what I know best; ebony with  extravagant inlay.

I've seen some come through the shop.  It seemed to be very hard and potentially brittle.  What I saw was similar in density to ebony.  I can't say I've seen a lot though.

if there's some, put it on the pick your own fingerboard section. I bet it will disappear quite soon.
