Washburn N4 Finish

I'm waiting on some warmoth pieces to create my inspired by Washburn N4 strat.

Can anyone confirm how the N4 is finished? Is it oiled? Or completely bare? Nothing at all?

Nuno's original axe was unfinished.

Yup.  Unfinished.  He had a padauk model that was also unfinished.  One of the economy models meant to look like his padauk model was stained alder.

Thanks all. Any tips on how to get the dirty look? Official methods of rubbing something in to bring out the grain on alder?

I suppose if you want to accelerate the be-smudging, you could go work on your car and then play some guitar.  Repeat as necessary.

I tried a Paudauk model some time ago and I'm pretty sure it had an oil finish.

The WIKI also says so.
