I like the earlier suggestion for vintage (white) pearloid. The black is just too dark, and the wooden ones are too busy - they distract from the beauty of the body, which is absolutely gorgeous. If you just got that out of the showcase shop, that might be one I almost bought. I decided on this instead. You'll note how the pearloid looks against the flamed curly.

The body is chambered swamp ash with a flamed curly maple top, the neck is ebony over maple w/ black Sperzel tuners, and the pickups are DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues 2 in the neck/middle and a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails at the bridge.

It was at an earlier stage here, but it's finished now. To say I'm pleased with how it turned out would be a tremendous understatement. I love this thing!

Plays and sounds like a dream, too. The chambered body gives it a touch of resonance that makes it sound like I'm using heavier strings than I am (I'm using D'Addario .010s).

Just got a 'Brown Shell' pickguard in the mail today. It's just what I was looking for!!!

And with black pups and black knobs...

I think I am going to put an 'Aged White Pick Up Cover' on the middle pup, and maybe a diff color of knobs.

Hey, that looks unique. Like "Hot Lava" or "Hawt Choklat"
I like the brown bell knobs, but the copper ones also look really cool, and will stand out more.
