Another thing to consider would be a circular small one, maybe with the Warmoth turtle on it?

Something like this:

Update, Doug worked his butt off to get this one.  The top is the concept I sent to him, the bottom is the CAD drawing.  According to Doug it might skew a bit when converting to JPG format.  I'll post more (or Doug will) for results.

Well, talk to Doug.  The turtle might have too much detail for the small size he's working with, but, doesn't hurt to ask.  I tried to make a quick and dirty mockup of the turtle for a "badge" but it's a bit complicated, that one.

I like this one. It would also do well with something like "Warmoth Custom Guitar Parts" in small type in a circle around the "W".

If more detail were necessary/desirable than Doug can reasonbly engrave, you can get custom coins made pretty reasonably. Something like this...

...in a 1 1/2" size can be had for $3/ea in 100pc quantities, with discounts for larger batches. That particular coin is stamped w/ no colors, but they can get a lot fancier. That's just at the first site I checked, CustomadeCoins. I expected them to cost a lot more than that.

That would be a good idea, they can stamp them faster than I can machine them, and as you said, their level of detail might be a bit better on such a small piece...

Thanks brother Bart, I think it's pretty much worked out, except for the recessed part, which will require it to be cut without the holes... :icon_thumright:

I like that a lot. Gonna have to get some. Any chance you couid take a picture of it next to something to give it some scale? Maybe one of the regular Warmoth emblems? Also, whaddaya think you're gonna have to have for them?

Thanks! That's exactly what I needed. I think I wanna put one on my Ebony neck, at least. Any chance the inverse is possible? I mean, cut away the space around the letters instead of the letters themselves? Or, as is but with a border?

Mmmm, that would be a huge pain in the ass. The as is with a border would be doable as opposed to individual letters...Might have to make it a smidge bigger..

I think I see what Cagey is getting at, correct me if I'm wrong, here.  It's a cool idea, and here's a quick mockup.

Start with black anodized.  The areas that are black will be black, i.e. not etched.  The areas in white would be etched.  The areas in yellow are trimmed.  Correct?
