I know the standard answer from warmoth on neck orders is 10 to 12 weeks. But what have people really been experiancing lately? Got some new stuff ordered and as always the waiting is the hardest part.

I'm at 14 weeks and still no sign of it.

Plus I'm extremely unhappy with the lack of communication, as per my previous posts.

I won't be ordering from them again.

All depends on what you ordered, their current workload, and if it has grain fill and/or finishing
If you ordered an exotic neck from the showcase it's probably a couple weeks.

I ordered from the showcase, had W do a gloss finish, nut and SS frets and it was 5 weeks (back in January)

I ordered a neck that didn't need a finish (and they did frets/nut after order) and a finished body (but widened one of the pickup routes) on June 8th, and received it June 17th.  Showcase stuff with no finish can be pretty quick, anything else will probably vary depending on workload.

It's impossible to say. Their workload and how much you asked for has more to do with it than anything. I ordered a completely custom neck back in late April (the 23rd) and got it on June 10th. So, call it 7 weeks, and a week of that was shipping since UPS only runs mule trains between Pulyallup, WA and Detroit, MI <grin> That was a koa neck with a curly koa headstock veneer, jet black ebony 'board, Tusq black XL Earvana nut, gold frets, with a vintage gloss finish. Not a straightforward neck, in other words. They quoted me 8 to 10 weeks, so I got it a little earlier than their shortest estimate. The neck prior to that wasn't a custom build per se (it came off The Showcase), but I did have it finished. Again with the 8 to 10 week projection, and that time it came in 8 weeks.

It's the finishes that are time consuming. If one is impatient, one could learn to love unfinished necks and bodies and improve order turn-around by 4 to 6 weeks. But, then you lose one of the great advantages of buying from Warmoth: incredible finish work that's unparalleled in the industry.
