Vintage Tele Build - Control Plate Issues

Your volume pot is still missing the connection to ground on the right lug, but other than that it looks right to me.
That is one of the final things I need to do today. Wire from the third volume pot lug to the back of the pot, ground the pickups and bridge, and solder the hot wires from the pickups. Then I can test and see if it works.

Hooray for progress! Once you get the electrics all running, you can get on with the other fine-tuning, if you'll excuse the pun.

For what it's worth, my first wiring job looked like an explosion at a lead smelter. You're doing great.

As I gather parts for building the 4 way switch, just wondering if anyone has any experience with, or opinions of, the AXLabs products. The potentiometers seem to be easier to find at non-Amazon sellers, and their 3 way switch looks interesting. It has the 8 lugs all on the same side of the switch as opposed to 4 on each side. Might be easier for someone with less experience than me to not have to cross over to connect lugs on different sides of the switch.

Here is an image of the back side of the switch.

I have not used but appears to be well made.

Update: Finished this attempt and everything seems to be working fine in terms of the electronics. Sound out of all Neck, Neck and Bridge, and Bridge. Tone knob seems to be working well also. It is different for sure as I watched Lindy Frallin's capacitor video and decided to use a .001uF capacitor. We shall see how that works out as I play the guitar.
Now my issue(s) are around setup. At first I couldn't get it to do anything much fretting as it was flat/dull and not resonating. I did a lot of adjustment of the bridge set screws and the intonation screws and it now plays but I am sure it needs more adjustment and also I need to set the pickup heights. I am reading up on that now. But I am very happy that I at least got a workable control plate. Thanks to everyone here who helped.
With the new chisel tip the soldering flowed much, much better. No issue soldering to the back of the pot. I like the soldering lug idea but for this time it didn't make sense to order them as the shipping would have been much more than the cost of the lugs.
