Trying to Decide on Pickguard Color and Neck Wood

Hi guys,

I’m finishing up this build. Ash top with blue grain and maple back/sides. I’m trying to decide on pickguard color and also neck wood. I have a roasted maple neck but wondering if some other wood type would be better. Kind of a tribute to the SF Bay Area. I’m seriously considering stripping a bridge/control plate and repainting the color of Golden Gate Bridge with nickel knobs and tuners. Any feedback or ideas from you all would be appreciated.
