Travel Electric (Warmoth)

Done right, good modern glues will hold like nothing else. You shouldn't have any problems with it holding.

Thanks for talking me back from the ledge!!  Put in a couple marathon sessions last night and today and got it all together.  So far the head repair has held for 5 hours.

I did pop the lacquer at the tuners and bridge :( .  I decided to go ahead and get it together and enjoy it for a while and then I'll take it back apart and refinish the body.  I LOVE how it looks and feels!  Close my eyes and I'd have no idea i wasn't playing my Tele :glasses9:.  Only thing I have left to do is connect the pickups and input jack, do a setup, and then I'll be rockin.  Here's a few pics I just took:

So stoked it's finally together after 7 years!

It came out great! Your headstock repair doesn't show in the pics. I'd guess it looks good close up, as well. Well done.

The repair's invisible. I can't see it and I know exactly where it is. Clean break, two pieces with nothing missing. After I glued it I sanded it again to get the little bit of glue off and it was perfect.

Thanks for talking me off the edge guys!!!!

Here's my original photoshop mockup from back on page 3 side by side with the final guitar.  I did that in 2013 and hadn't landed on a headstock design I liked yet and changed the layout (and number) of the controls but other than that I nailed it!  :guitarplayer2:

I just noticed in the pic of the body and part of the neck that the controls are reflected in the lacquer :glasses9:.

Got the wiring done today and spent a couple hours noodling around on it.  Have to do a full setup now.

I also think I'm going to shim the neck so I can raise the bridge and get a little more clearance from the pickup rings to the strings.  Very pleased with everything so far!
