The Spalted Maple Strat (Completed). Thank God.

Damn! That is quite something, to say the least. Might look better with the matte gold VS100 (joke).

Often it's the problem children that can be the most rewarding.

Yeah FatPete, I've got a problem child who's 18 going on 40.  I'm trying to help her get to be a lawyer.  Then she can get paid for all her "problemness".  Heh.  Then again, she is her father's daughter.  Stubborn as hell.  This guitar was birthed much the same as my Savannah.  Kicking an screaming, and wanting to do it her own way.  :binkybaby:

Wow, that's a beautiful looking guitar, well thought out with the aesthetics.

I kinda smirked to myself when I read you played the guitar through a Swart amp on clean and remarked favourably about the good clean tone. On BKP Warpigs no less.

If you would've handed that guitar to a metaller, they would've cranked the snot out of the Swart, detuned the strings and gone on a djent-fest.  :laughing8:  :party07:

I'm that guy, too.  But clean first, always clean.  Those friggin Warpigs are like 21.5KΩ for da bridge, and 17.4KΩ for da neck.  That's insane.  Seriously though, on clean it's a mean kinda clean.  With the fuzz/overdrive and swart cranked, it's neighbor-disturbance material.  Anyone ever gotten a note on their door, "Could you please turn the guitar down, thanks"?  Heh.  Tuning down a whole step is pretty effective---like do a drop D tuning, and then tune everything down a whole step from there.  h0h0h0.  Ugly!  Hateful!
