That's not a guitar, it's a whole new Strat-o-G

Ultra-light redwood body purchased from Saylor Guitars on Ebay paired with a korina & macassar ebony Warmoth modern neck I ran across in the showcase a few years back. Warmoth standard specs: modern, 1 11/16, 10-16, standard-thin w/ SS6105 frets. Wired 3-way to the outside pickups, 1: master volume 2: middle pickup blend 3: master tone. Toronado bridge with staggered Gotoh vintage split-post tuners the whole thing weighs about 5lbs. It's both familiar like a strat, and very different at the same time. Stupid harsh led lights make the finish look worse than it does in person. Took so many coats of wipe-on poly to get the dangerously soft earlywood of the body to be level that I couldn't be bothered to try avoid losing some color. It's a magnet for dings and the headstock finish ended up opaque yellow when the rest of the neck has such a nice in between vibe with the korina, but I don't care. My signature instagram hashtag is #custommeanscrooked for a reason. Gotta love the trapped pickguard screw under the fingerboard overhang, doh. Still just the first round of setup/strings a few months back, but I might play around with some different pot/cap values/tapers to get the middle blend to be a bit more progressive, and the GFS pickups are pretty good if not a little darker than I prefer.

Wow, that's a really cool guitar! (y) (y)
The body carves give a bit of a Hagstrom vibe. That guitar pick under the toggle is very cool... I've had a serious guitar fetish for fifty years and this is the first time I have ever seen that!
