Just received my Indian Rosewood on Indian Rosewood neck. Warmoth Angled with Pearloid Trap inlays and Pearloid binding. I couldn't be happier! It is absolutely amazing! Sorry for the photo quality...i had to take them with my cell phone. I can' t wait to get this on one of my guitars! :guitarplayer2:

2 more pictures with both guitars i'm thinking about putting it on. I am most likely going with the Fender Highway 1 since it is an unfinished body.

I've seen shots of the Loch Ness monster that were clearer <grin>

Little more light might help that cellphone camera. Sensors on a lot of those things aren't much more than an afterthought.

But, enough bitching. Nice neck! I've been agonizing over a similar one for several weeks now. Can't decide if it'll look right on my cranberry VIP.

An indian rosewood pure blood! Lol
Nice combo with the traps, but hard to tell with "space station" sized pics!

:dontknow: I can't really see these pic's properly  :glasses9:
Without a 100" screen, taking my glasses off & walking back from it by 25 feet

But from way back here, it looks OK  :icon_biggrin:

Ill take some new pics with my camera this weekend that you don't need a jumbotron to view hah

No worries ..
A good viewing size is 1024 x 768 something around that, otherwise ....
You might get someone suing you for eye strain  :icon_jokercolor:

This neck will eventually be put on a vip.. Although now that I have the neck I'm questioning my color choice for the vip..I was thinking about black on quilt maple or black purple and blue mix but not sure anymore

It's a darker color, so you might want to consider a lighter body. Since Rosewood is almost an auburn shade (reddish-brown), you might want to consider something complementary, such as amber, which has a small red component to it as well. Amber over quilted Maple is always nice, and allows the wood's figuring to be shown off to good effect. Maybe burst it out to a light coffee brown or blood red (again with the red component), with a dark but transparent coffee brown blood red back.

Actually this neck is a chocolate brown...which is why I liked it...it wasn't the typical reddish brown you typically see. I do like the idea of the amber though..maybe amber to black or brown as you said

My neck was the same. Not much red in it, just shades of brown.

See? There she is! Good ol' Nessie Longneck. Clear as a bell. Shot with pre-cellphone technology, too! <grin>

I like how in the pic the sun isn't even out, and there's a shadow on the water. And not a watery shimmering shadow like it should be, but a dark shadow...
wtf.gif

Hehe! Yeah.

But, it's not the lack of sun that gives it away, since that could be an exposure problem. It's the lack of diffraction in the shadow. It's too defined. Should be all broken up due to the irregular reflecting surface. Cheater should have used a computer. Of course, back when that scam was running, computers that could do ray tracing weren't exactly commonplace, if they existed at all. Nowadays, even games do better water effects than that.

You bet your ass it will look right, Cagey! It'll look as good as bourbon on that Cranberry VIP. Alternatively, I wouldn't mind that body as a christmas gift.... :) Pull the trigger Cagey. Search your feelings, you know it to be true!

Nice neck dude. Very good looking on the white strat body.

Oh, you wouldn't want it right now. It looks a lot worse than it did in the last pictures you saw. It needs some serious attention and that ain't happening until spring. Then, who knows? I may put it up for sale. I have an old PRS-style VIP body that's gonna need some real love and I only have so much room around here to stack up guitars.

Cagey, I'm the idiot guy who prefers a messed up ugly POS looking guitar. Not for mojo or anything, I just get bored with a pristine finish. So i'll take anything you're willing to give away at a good price. :) ESPECIALLY if the paint is liable to go away when I pull a Townshend accidentally bump into things.  :cool01:

EDIT: Think about it Cagey. You get money, I get into debt. I also get an excuse to use Lindy Fralin P92s. Win/win.

I'll keep my eyes open. If I see something that looks like it's aching for bonfire duty, I'll be sure to point you in its direction <grin>
