Telecaster Gotoh Bridges --- which one?

Out of the seemingly dozens of bridges out there, with the dozens of variations, I've settled on one of the following two for my next build (a nashville tele):
A:Gotoh BS-TC1S or
B: Gotoh BS-TC2

Should I just go with the cheaper of the two (the BS-TC1S), or is there something special about the BS-TC2 that I'm missing?

Thanks,
Rick
:help: :dontknow:

PS Yes I know that one has sides, and the other is a little thicker, but does it make a difference?

Judging from the two pics, it appears the C2 has a higher shine to the plate. I got a $16 Wilky though so you probably don't want my opinion.

For me, one of the big advantages of a telecaster is that you can pick it up with your picking hand while playing it.  This is  solely because of the lip on the bridge.  I'd go with the lip one.

BTW, I'm a big fan of Gotoh in general and I really like their tele bridges.

The only thing with the Gotoh's, & it's not their fault at all really is that EMG tele pickups are a bit tight in that bridge.  That's more EMG's fault for make the p/u housing just a touch too big.

I just put the one with the lip on it on my last build. It's great but there isn't much room to file out the pickup opening at the ends.

It's not super shiny between the pickup and the saddles.

@swarfrat: I'm price conscious too, that's why these were zero on my radar ... trying to balance quality and cost, I bet I'd really like the hipshots or the callahan's, probably love the babicz's, which are 100% more in price, but don't seem to be 100% more in quality.

I have seen my future and it contains a BS-TC1S!
Thanks fellas! :rock-on:
