Teilecaster

The blue shell pickguard looks really cool ... on it's own. On that guitar, I can only look at the pickguard standing out and not the other details. The black doesn't quite do it for me either, but it's better. Hmmm ... it's like there needs to be something in between. Blue Pearl, Black Pearl ... Hell, I don't know! :D

All I know is that now I need some kind of white guitar with a blue shell pickguard. Thanks for igniting my G.A.S.! ;)

I agree, I do like that blue shell, but kinda of overpowers everything else. I like the black better, but a black pearl does sound like it would work.

Welcome to the brotherhood of the world's simplest and most honest electric guitar. The world needs more spektrablaue Teilenachläuferen.

Yours will be gorgeous when complete. I agree with others that the blue shell is a little distracting, and the black is a little dull. If you're up for it, perhaps the blue shell would be less overpowering if you trimmed it down like the f-hole tele pickguard. Or maybe you could try silver pearl:

Thanks for all the Input, I asked ppl in my bubble as well and I was especially interested in the opinions of non-musicians, because they are the ones who's attention I'd be wanting on stage. They ALL choose blue shell! :ROFLMAO:

While I was planing the build in my head, I was pretty sure I'd prefer black-white-black and I still like it, but - it's hard to really see that in pictures, but the blue of the blue shell matches the spectra blue quite good!

It kinda gives the impressionen as if the blue parts were actually transparent, or as if body and pickguard were somehow made for each other (which they were...)... I guess what I wanna say is: I was positively surprised by the blue shell pickguard and I like it very much.

I'm gonna go with it, I can still change it if I change my mind.

Thank you very much guys! :giggle:

That is a very odd translation btw. :ROFLMAO: , "Nachläufer" is kind of a literal description of what casters under office chairs do, in that they follow the movement of the chair.

I didn't realise until now, how many meanings the word cast has, because we have different words in german for all of those meanings:😅

I stay with Teilecaster as it's so close to the original name. :giggle:
