Taos Turquoise Stratocaster

Just finished this up not too long ago for a customer & thought you guys might like it. I refinshed it for him in a rare Fender color called Taos Turquoise. Turned out pretty sharp!

Same exact guitar, but this one was taken by the customer after he assembled it. This is more accurate to how the color really looked.

I apparently work with aftermarket bodies too much.  I always find the CNC holes in OEM a bit odd.

You know, I like the color of the body in the first images more; the last image seems more of what you would expect of an "iconic" turquoise color, which would more appropriately be named simply "turquoise".  Adding an exotic-sounding adjective to a color would seem to imply a less archetypal hue.

Since turquoise runs the gamut from cerulean blue to almost a jade green, I was surprised to see that it looked so "typical" in the final frame. . . there's no pleasing me, I guess.
