I never cease to be amazed by Stew Mac’s ability to develop and market products that I both roll my eyes at and also kind of want to buy...

I never found a use for PCB holders.  I have one, a pretty nice one actually.  Never gets used.  :)

FWIW, i bought literally the exact same thing for like 9 dollars on amazon. Half of their catalog is rebranded stuff at a 300% upcharge.

I like PCB holders for populating them. pop a good bit of components in, blue tack to hold them down, flip it over and solder away. I do a lot of builds from PedalPCB and their boards are so nice i hate sticking them in helping hands which mar up the board. Not that anyone will ever go and look at the PCB afterwards lol.

I sometimes wonder if Stew-Mac isn't secretly run by the Ferengi from Star Trek. They are a species whose sole purpose in life is the pursuit of profit.
But, then again, that describes politicians too. :dontknow:

I will look out for them to start accepting bars of gold pressed latinum  as payment  :laughing7:

I never knew such a convenient device as this was around. I used to do a lot of pedal projects and would have loved one! Perhaps it is a good enough reason to start doing some more pedal projects...

Rebranded is part of OEM , huge part of made in China industry. a lot thing on Amazon and other site from this .

I think I'm going to try to sell my PEM nut self centering drill bit bushing I made for drilling snapped screws out of the standoffs on my amp to Stew-Mac. Think I can get $65 for it?

That would be a good tool to have if you work on those PCBs a lot. The idea is sound. I like it. At $65 it would be a good purchase.
