Awesome. What clearcoat did you use?
Burn, Keda Wood Dye, seal coat of Rustoleum clear enamel (to stop the dye from bleeding off/through) Minwax Polycrylic clear.Awesome. What clearcoat did you use?
Thank you for your guidance good sir!Hmm tough call but I think I vote for leaving it the way it is
Leave it 100%Looking for guidance. Would this look better with a sort of black burst edge? Or leave it?
man you are killing me, The neck I have ready to use is all maple. I will have to use that and then hope for a sweet sale down the line. I mean these necks just don't grow on trees! That coat is the color of the fretboard needed.
I gave the body a TINY bevel with file, dyed it with a q-tip, and cleared back over the top. It is not as wide as a real binding on purpose. However, you have to go really slow and steady so as not to screw things up or it is very likely to look uneven and horrible. I just wanted a line to kinda tie things together. YMMV.How did you do the faux binding? I like that, plan to steal
I went ahead and put another coat on it.View attachment 61496
I have decided to name this guitar "Lil Stratamania"A jacket potato move.or as they say in Hawaii, "fleece him Dano".
Everyone knows that. They grow on vines in the guitar vineyards.I mean these necks just don't grow on trees!
