Not my style, but I love it. This is exactly what I like to see, and wish I saw more- extra emphasis on getting a great combination of parts and styles, even without expensive woods

I think it's perfect.
Like I mentioned to Mark apricot before, Black looks fantastic on 3tb!!

WOW  :glasses9:  That is one sweet Soloist...
I agree about the black hardware; it really looks great!
:rock-on:

Nice Dude! Wow! Like smoldering embers!
Marko too! I can't believe I missed that one.
Good stuff you guys  :eek:ccasion14:

Looks excellent!  This makes me wish their headstock veneers were thick enough to do masked binding, although you having a maple neck achieves that effect, anyway.

How's it play/sound?

Totally agree, that's what I wanted initially...  :laughing7:

It plays really well, the neck profile is really perfect for me (1-5/8" width + wolfgang contour) : I wanted it to be close enough to a musicman silhouette neck (really comfortable)
It sounds perfect, the DM Cruiser pickups are very interresting and also great for clean sounds when splitted. I think the tone zone is also a good choice, it is a very versatile guitar  :)

Awesome! The matching headstock might be the biggest thing for me. Looks so damn cool. Really love the black pickup cover too. Great build!

I'm a fan of matching headstocks, too. Surprised I don't see more of them, but I get the impression it's an acquired taste that not many every acquire.

*Whistles* Definitely a really nice looking soloist.

Indeed!  :headbang:

I saw a blurb boasting the easier access to the upper register of the Soloist body style.
I was wondering if anyone could compare the soloist to the VIP shape in terms of access to the upper frets.

I have both, and there's not enough difference to talk about. The Soloist is slightly more accessible, but I wouldn't make a decision based on it. It's insignificant.

Thanks bro!
Both Soloist and VIP models seem very ergonomic and comfortable, perhaps even a dream to play.  :cool01:
