Man, this is my first build but not the last for sure. Totally blown away with Warmoth's craftsmanship.

Thinking of replacing the Pickguard for one with a Seymour Duncan Mini humbucker instead of full-sized humbucker. What do you suggest?
Also, what do you suggest for the pickguard? ALL WHITE (.09"), ALL WHITE (.06") or WHITE-BLACK-WHITE like the one on the picture?

Man, this is gonna rock!

You dirty SOB!  You know we are all waiting on our, too!  How dare you!

She's gorgeous!!

I love that blue! In most cases I feel white is too white. I prefer parchment. I think mint and tortoise would look cool too. :headbang:

Black perloid would rock.  Those little gray swirlies would really pop against that blue.

Nice!

Is that Lake Placid Blue? Very pretty.

I'm a big fan of Parchment for pickguards on almost every color. The slight warm tone contrasts nicely with cool colors and compliments warm ones. It's a little less stark than pure white, imo.

That's gonna be a lovely guitar!

I already have a sonic blue body that I was looking at virtually an identical pickguard to use.

Is this solid mahogany? How much does this guitar weigh? I ordered a guitar with similar specs, and I'm curious about the weight.

I have a solid Mahogany body here with nothing on it but nitro, and it's 5.3lbs. No trem route, so that probably adds a couple ounces.

But, Mahogany is sorta like Swamp Ash in that the weight can be all over the place, so I don't know what that info is worth. Still, it's probably gonna be heavier than average for whatever body style you picked.

I've always been drawn to white pearl on blue guitars. That blue is really nice too......

Yeah, either one of these would be sublime, in a smoldering kinda way....oh, and KEEP the full size humbucker--no way to regret that!! :icon_thumright:
