Schaller Tuners Not Fitting 25/64" Hole

I recently purchased a neck from Warmoth with 25/64" holes. I bought the Schaller tuners linked on Warmoth's website specifically for these holes, however, when they arrived, I found the holes were seemingly too small for the tuners. Do I just need to take some sand paper to carve out some space in there? The neck does have a gloss finish on it. Any tips would be much appreciated.

You need to use a reamer or sandpaper wrapped around a pencil or piece of dowel, rotated to fit. Better to do a bit at a time and test the fit as you go.

Note: 25/64" is slightly less than 10mm, which the Schaller tuners are. That and some finish will mean an adjustment is needed as above.

My gloss finish neck needed a little work on the tuner holes to get the Schallers to fit. Unfinished roasted maple and satin maple fit perfectly. A little elbow grease goes a long way. Massage the holes until the shafts fit. Better a little tight than a little loose, eh?
