I know this isn't the type of music that most listen to here, but a musical artist is an artist.
Nate Dogg (Nathaniel Hale) was the 'singing rapper' and had a very unique style to his songs.
Apparently he had been having health problems including 2007 and 2008 strokes.

At my house, he will be missed.

Here's a song of his, in case you were curious.

good song

rap to me is a love hate thing, I think there are some very talented rappers out there that seem to spend a lot of time and effort with their music and lyrics. They put together some great sampling with nice remixes, or write new music that sounds good and then have lyrics that actually are songs.
then there are those who strike a beat and open their fat mouths with nothing positive to say, nothing at all about the songs is new or original.

I like any music with merit, however I find very little in Rap or Punk.

this song as melody and is well written,  shows he worked seriously at his music, it is Sad he passed.

Very true. A good rapper is extremely impressive, but a bad rapper is definitely one of the most lowly things in music. I'm really picky about hip hop and rap music, but I definitely do like it.

Warren G is my Neighbor, never saw Nate Dogg around his house but I am sure he has been over. It is a bummer.....Regulators....Mount Up

I was impressed by the song, actually. not a rap guy at all, but he has a more musical style, with a melody instead of just a "beat"

I'm by no means a rap guy either, but Nate Dogg did have his own style, one that was far more musical than most. I'd go as far as to say that the song in the original post, for example, even qualifies as music, whereas most rap simply does not (as far as I'm concerned).

His death is especially sad given that he was only 41. He didn't even live long enough to die an honourable rapper death like getting shot outside a night club.

Was that in poor taste?
