i built a Warmoth Strat 25 years ago and still play it, but I was never satisfied with the pickups (tried various different ones) or the old vintage trem. I finally bit the bullet and put a set of Areas in it and a Super Vee. Transformed the guitar! Here's what it sounds like on this tune:

It's probably my prettiest guitar; I finished it in what I think Warmoth calls Cherryburst these days, but then who knew? Analine dye (oak) on the maple neck, which was a gamble that paid off spectacularly, and nitro on top. Beautiful guitar and now it sounds that way to me, too. :turtle:
