So I just received my first Warmoth custom neck a couple of days ago and everything seemed to be as ordered. The neck looked great, so I went ahead and installed the tuners, the attatched the neck, etc. Once I got my Strat strung up, I realized that the SS 6105 frets weren't quite what I expected :-\ . Any kind of bend or vibrato is a struggle, as the strings against the frets feel sort of rough and grainy, especially on the wound strings. This is a stark contrast to all the reviews I've heard on these boards that say that bending feels silky and almost effortless right out of the box. Did Warmoth miss a step in preparing the frets, or am I supposed to do something? I am using SS strings as well, so could that be the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
