To be honest, it was more a cheap joke on the meaning of the word 'Shag' being a euphemism for  s*xual intercourse.

Well, it does around here anyway.

The band was three sisters (later a fourth was added) who were being promoted by their dad.  If "Shaggs" was supposed to be a euphemism for screwing, the whole thing takes on an even weirder cast.  It could conceivably have been a  nod to the shag haircut that was popular in the late 60's-early 70's hippie era.  The wikipedia page is silent as to the origin of the name.

My niece, years ago was talking about Amy wine house and she used shambolic and shagg in the same sentence. From the context I got her meaning but her uncle had to ask for a translation.  By the way I like those girls , they match my skill set.

Ouch, my ears, my ears!

Give me something easy to listen instead. Like Ligeti ...

Came across this man accidentally, great rendition, amazing chording. I only wish he was right handed so I could get a better idea of what he's playing. I also like that he doesn't use a pick, his picking hand technique is much like mine, except for the fact that he's really good at it!

Nice. I like it.

Put it full screen and watch him in a mirror to change it to right handed playing?

You are highly unlikely to hear a better Prince cover than this gorgeous rendition of Purple Rain by Miche Braden and Scott Bradlee (the pianist who founded Postmodern Jukebox).

I've loved Joni Mitchell ever since the first time I heard her "Blue" album. She's an incredible talent, her music speaks directly to my heart.....

But, as much as I like "Come and Get Your Love", to me, this will always be "Redbone":
