POLY...FINAL BUFFING

I have been having a hard time finding something to use for a final polish for my poly finished guitar.  I finally found something.

Since other store brand (automotive) polishes were not working, I decided to try my HARLEY DAVIDSON scratch and swirl remover.  I applied by hand and buffed until the paste was completely dry.  I then removed and pollished with a microfiber cloth.  AWESOME!

for some reason this works better than the other polishes I have used.  Perhaps it is because the poly is softer...not sure.  All I know if it works.  I even has some additional grain detal popping...it looks great!

I never thought of that.

I finished this guitar and decided to go the poly route...I must say I am very happy.

Almost looks like fur. Nice! Does the Harley Davidson scratch and swirl remover contain wax or silicone? I use 3M’s Perfect-It ll Finishing Compound (Swirl Remover) after fine sanding Urethane clear...

not sure...I have used the 3M stuff too.  I find this get a little more polish to it.  It must contain some sort of wax or silcone...because it leave a film that really must be cleaned well.
