Paste Wax post Tung oil

About to finish the month long Tung oil process on my Dinky J and it looks great.  Curious about needing to wax as the final step.  If I do wax I'm looking at the Butcher's White Diamond Paste Wax.  I also looked at the Boston Polish but I want to avoid any more color tinting, so I guess that's out.  Minwax also has a paste wax out.  Am I on the right track with this stuff?  Is it necessary at all?  What's the best application method? How should the final product feel?  Thanks for any input..

I use a wax that comes in a tin from Warwick.
