Very cool.  When you're done, could you give a comparison in tonality to something like maple / roasted maple?  I find this wood beautiful and the red toned wood is very different in a good way.

I always thought of "padouk" as the sound in the Pink Panther theme:

Padouk.. Padouk.. Padoukpadoukpadouk padouk padoooo-uuuuukkk.

Anyways, nice neck! My next build might have a padouk neck... Of course I'm not done with my current one yet.
