I placed the minimum bid on this 2 piece Mahogany body on ebay and won.  Not bad for just over $100 after shipping.  Its some pretty wood.  Heavy, too.

I guess I'll load it with the Reed James Custom Cocobolo Woodbuckers I've had laying around.

For the control plate....instead of a chrome deal, I have one made of mahogany on order.  From this guy http://stores.ebay.com/Woodguarden-Wood-Pickguards?_trksid=p4340.l2563

This was kind of an ebay lark.  I didn't really plan it out until I found myself winning on a low bid.

But, I like the tele shape.  I had humbuckers that needed a guitar.... so...

The neck (a karosa) will simply be a place-holder until I can  scrape together the cash for a Warmoth.  I'm in love with the two Warmoth necks I have on other guitars, now.

Nice body. Helluva deal. I'm tempted to pick one up and just stash it for a project later on. Never know when you might have an itch for a Tele.

is that a Goncalo Alves neck?  LOVE IT

Goncalo Alves with a Marblewood fingerboard.

I have a love/hate relationship with that neck.  Its a Karosa (search 'em).  Karosa necks are a crapshoot for quality and poorly made.  However, they do use nice wood.  I replaced the truss rod in this one, which involved actually digging the trench under the fingerboard.

This neck will be a place-holder until I can get a better neck from Warmoth.
