None More Black

This was the first Anniversary Sale body I bought, PS3461A. Black, TOM/Arch, Contoured Heel.

I took the Superwide Fatback mahogany/ebony neck from the NRFB, because I never play it. I sprayed the headstock black and dyed the fret markers black, and I like the result.

All black hardware, including the world's most expensive top ferrules (see my Blackmore Tribute thread in Works in Progress).

Dimarzio PAF Pro and Paf Joe, 1 volume, Chandler Tone-X.

Big tone monster, and Nigel Approved.

i wanted to do a wenge tele body and ebony or wenge/ebony neck. no finish whatsoever with hardware that was different shades of black, some gloss some satin some black chrome. one pup and one volume knob that goes to eleven!
i never did build it

but yours is cool too :icon_thumright:

The fret markers were clay dots, because this neck was on a previous build, so I needed to darken them up.

I'm still thinking about EMGs, but I really like these pickups; 8.5k range, I just really enjoy the tone.

Superwide is 1 7/8"; no graphtech option, unfortunately, and I can't find blanks wide enough!

Haha, about four months ago I planned out a build just like this - a 100% all-black Warmoth Strat to be referred to as 'none more black' - but I couldn't quite justify it as I was still finishing another Warmoth at the time. I'm glad someone's done it though (great minds think alike perhaps?).

Could have done with a set of SD Blackouts though :laughing7:
